The story of Anastasia Romanov-Kopp (Anna) reads almost like a Don Bluth film

Early life Born to Chanticleer and Marina Romanov, Anna learned about isolation and social exile early. In an effort to please Marina, Chanticleer pursued precious gemstones and neglected his responsibilities, which inclused meteorological control through incantation. When their community was plunged into darkness, Chanticleer was ousted and never seen again. Before he left, he entrusted Anna with a gold ring that was meant to save all humanity.

Marina struggled to maintain the family farm, forced to sell it by the piece to pay for the healthcare of Anna's brother, Timothy. The community rallied behind Marina and assisted in moving Timothy to a safer side of the farm ahead of the harvest.

Marina was later killed by a giant lizard, Before she died, she told Anna that she would find wealth and prosperity in America, specifically a region referred to as the Great Valley where the streets were paved with cheese.

With no further ties to the farm, Anna packed up one old and weak donkey with all her possessions and left.
